Bala

So I went off to Bala on Boxing Day to join in with the Bawden family Xmas. We had a really lovely time eating turkey left overs along with home-made bread sauce for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We played Blokus, Balderdash, Triv and Pass The Bomb. We re-covered the dining room chairs (fantastic group effort),

...........................................................we fed the ducks (ducks can jump!!!!), we watched the Inbetweeners, we went for beers in the pub, Leon (my trainer) arrived so we inevitably drank bucket-loads of red wine and this morning we all dragged ourselves out of bed to experience Kate's Knitted Picnic. It rained and we had to get in the car - but it wasn't spoilt as we went off to The Aquarium). She wasn't convinced by the bunting and nobody was convinced by the Chocolate Digestive - no it's NOT a field mushroom!!!!! I wore my new Reindeer leggings and put up my new bedroom curtains. I left the electric blanket on overnight and nearly toasted myself. Aunty Tny, Bill, Leon, Mary, Baby Kate, Andrew, Kate, Steve and Bessie were all on top form and I had a properly lovely time. I love love love it in Bala - quite possibly my very favourite place in the whole wide world.
