Project For 2008

2008 is all about the garden. My sister bought me this handy garden-set-for-girls for Christmas. I am pleased she did not take it back to the shop when I told her just before Christmas that "I hate gardening"

I planted these 2 weeks ago and nothing has appeared yet. I have lovingly sprayed them every bloomin day and couldn't contain myself any longer today so I dug up one of the sunflowers to see how he was doing. I was relieved to find a small sprout from his tip and then felt very guilty about my impatience as I buried him back down.

The cake of the day is The Mini Bakewell Tart. I am well aware that this all seems extremely sad but I have a small person in mind who I presented with a knitted dolly last year. I have never ever seen anybody look so naturally excited to get a gift and I know there will be a small person somewhere who will love the knitted-picnic.

A photo sent from my lovely friend tonight. The little munchkin is sporting one of my creations - the cupcake hat from "Ittybittynursery". She has been visiting friends in Naples with Italian knitting experts everywhere so I feel very proud to be responsible for a little bit of British-Knitting chic.

Hi! Love the tartlet! I totally need to knit myself a picnic. I bought a great Jean Greenhowe booklet with lots of treats in it to knit but can't seem to find it anywhere... Will have to look harder ;0)

If you are looking for more food patterns for your picnic, check out her site. She has free pdf downloads for sandwiches and tea pastries here: http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/patterns.html

Cheers!
Anny
