Training

So I went of for a planned 7km run with The Sister, through the fields, to a place we've never been before, without a watch or a map or indeed ANY sense of direction. We knew we are slightly lost (but we called it "exploring") so we asked somebody for directions to Shipley reservoir......they told us they didn't know where Shipley reservoir was but told us Mapperly reservoir was "just 15 mins up that way". We assumed we must have got the name of the reservoir wrong and just ploughed on regardless..........and got home 2 hours and 18km later!!! So The Sister's training jumped from 6km straight up to 18km....eeeck!!! Thinking we had only done 9km or so I thought she was being a wimp when she couldn't lift her leg up high enough to get over a style on the way home. I do hope her legs don't fall off tonight. I feel broken. A reminder of how I felt most weekends at the end of last year........how on earth did I do it????
