So I went off to the Lakes this weekend to help assist 100 people "of mixed ability" up and down the 4 highest peaks in England in 3 days. Hmmm...........how to sum it up????...............three 14-hour-long days of hideous, relentless unnecessary pain and anguish????Well that is the truth - but in hindsight -after an excellent meal, some happy drunken participants with very short memories, a night in my own double bed and a good breakfast I remember a most excellent Challenging weekend with some really quite awesome people who THANK GOD are actually very good at reading maps and carrying on and on and on and on regardless of all the hellish-ness........would do it all again tomorrow..............just need to remember that washing is overrated, mobile phones don't like getting wet and no matter how many millions of midges you squash you will never ever be rid of them.
