Training

So I did my last scheduled long run today..............it was hard but slightly easier than all the ones that have gone before. My Left Foot has prevented me from doing more than 14 miles which is quite distressing BUT I will get round - I think/hope in 5.5 hours.

Things I learnt from today.....
1) Most body parts are going to hurt at some point.......don't be afraid of the foot pain - a new exciting and entirely different pain will come along at some point to distract you
2) There is a lot to be said for stopping for a stretch for 5 minutes - try to remember to do this every hour
2) When you are feeling terrible - don't worry - if you keep going you will feel better again in another 20 minutes
3) The issue of fuelling has been the thing you have consistently failed to get right - eat eat eat like a horse in the days running up to the big day and continue to eat all the way round
4) dont expect to be fit to celebrate at the end - you will almost certainly feel like dying

I am ready to get on with it now - bring it on!
