I know I know - what does it all mean???? Well - for me it means no permanent damage and its probably OK to carry on and with some hefty strapping and various wedges, pads and lifts, 45 minutes of ice packing and 12oomg of Vitamin I a day my foot feels relatively normal today for the first time in 5 weeks - Huzzah!!!!!!My Left Foot is quite grubby...........I had to shower with it stuck outside as I didn't want to wet my very effective strapping................not nice - but it looks quite authentic in a proper-runner type style which I kind of like. I wanted to wear a skirt to work so everybody could see it and sympathise about what a "terrible time" I am having and how much I am "struggling" but I had a quiet word with myself (there's nobody else here to do it - I have quiet words with myself all the time) and I went and put some trousers on.
I just ran with the running club tonight (and ignored their dismayed faces when I tell them how little I have been running lately and I still plan to DO IT) and it felt really good - I took it slowly and was able to sprint the last half km as I had so much fuel left in the tank.
Did 9.6km and it felt "fine" - only another 3 times what I did today and I know I can do that even if I have to crawl.
Got my registration stuff through the post today and loads of patients wished me well at work - feeling excited again :-))))) HUZZAH!!!!!
