I didn't feel up to the essential and dreaded "long run" on my training plan. I tried to gee myself up but couldn't get over the fact that my back really hurts and rather than "not wanting" to go I felt I probably "just shouldn't". I did no decorating - I just spent 8 lovely long lazy hours pottering about in the kitchen and the Naylor tribe came round for nibbles, Prosecco, paella and blueberry & lemon millefeuille.
They gave me lots of encouragement about the never-ending saga that is my decorating............ zzzzzzzzzz.............and I had a lovely evening........I feel better..................but still worried...........I guess thats what its gonna be like for the next 3 months. I don't think I will ever feel ready - I will just have to the best I can.

dude, you rock. it will all be fine, you do not have to be a machine to complete this thing, you will run lots of miles, and you will feel great about it in the end. so enjoy the red wine, and get out and do the big run another day, preferably tomorrow. you did say your book said 6 days a week... so let this be your 7th day huh.
ps. if you need to talk, call me.
