16km - tick
I realise it is at least 10 weeks since I last hit a milestone on the errrrmm kilometres. It is a long time since I ticked off the 14km marker - what on earth have I been doing?? Well, I am not too depressed because when I did 14km I was in quite considerable pain in my pelvis and knees so 10 weeks of concentrating on cross training and swimming has clearly done me some good because after an hour and 40 minutes of pavement pounding yesterday I have some stiffness in my thighs and absolutely no knee pain - which I think is by far the most important thing. I listened to a marathon podcast all the way round and it was totally fascinating!!!! If I can do an extra 2km every week for the next 10 weeks I can get up to the 22 mile marker (if I do 20 miles before the big day I will be happy) so thats the plan................I have some fantazi new running tunes thanks to lovely Mat and I am really looking forward to my long run on sunday - am gonna try to do 2 hours eeeeck

well done dude, it is all falling into place, please have faith that it will happen. what a great run to have done. i also have tunes for you to keep you going. rest now, enjoy the buzz, and do another big run next week...... big hugs, never was going to be easy, but you will do it, i promise you that.
