CAKE QUEEN

I managed to finish off the lemon cupcakes. Eaten straight away they were acceptable. Eaten more than 1 hour later it is clear they were not. Mother quickly gave them away to Leftover Lil. She said they were "fine" which is pretty desperate from somebody who is usually the most enthusiastic person I know. Nice Nick said they were "really bad" demonstrated by the fact that he accidentally dropped one on his foot and was concerned he might have sustained a metatarsal fracture.............harsh but fair.

Not to be defeated I made a Coffee and Walnut Cake today. It is not a understatement to say that it is completely flippin' delicious. ***LIGHT*** does not do it justice - its got air holes big enough to stick your finger in...........

I cannot post a picture of it in all its glorious light and fluffy deliciousness because my camera has no charge because my camera charger is in Mon Sac which is still travelling round Europe...

..........but it looks a bit like this (but LIGHTER and FLUFFIER.........)
